‘The Conjuring 2′ Trailer Haunts Twitter
Twitter users had plenty to fear last week, when the trailers for “The Conjuring 2″ and “Lights Out” were the most talked-about previews on the social network.
“The Conjuring 2″ took the top spot for the week. The film, a sequel to the 2013 hit, again follows real-life paranormal experts Ed and Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga). This time they’re helping a single mother and her four kids battle evil spirits. James Wan is back in the director’s chair for “The Conjuring 2,” which comes to theaters in June.
Wan’s name is also in the credits, as a producer, for “Lights Out.” The movie, starring Maria Bello and Teresa Palmer, is about people who are haunted by a shadowy creature, but only when, as the title hints, the lights go out. “Lights Out” hits theaters in July.
Rounding out the top 5 for last week were the trailer for “Bridget Jones’s Baby,” which marks Renee Zellweger‘s return to the character; “The Huntsman: Winter’s War,” which boasts a cast full of big names including Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth; and “The Lego Batman Movie,” whose title says it all.
