We’d love to hear from you!The Sales Planner will work closely with our Sales and Content Strategy teams to develop proposal assets and other materials to win new business, and to help facilitate the completion of a campaign once won. This is an exciting role for someone with a sales planning background, because of the crossover from sales to execution – not only do you get to put together custom proposals for the sales team, but you also get to help make those proposals come to life after the campaign is sold through! There’s also a good deal of inter-departmental exposure for those interested in gaining experience across the company. Primary duties include:
Partner with our creative & innovative content marketing and sales teams to conceptualize and create custom content and collateral that identifies with each client’s program, specifically by doing research and data analysis; create and prepare sales presentations for potential clients that outline recommended high-value brand native advertising campaigns strategy, and persuasively communicate how the plan will reach the client’s target audience and meet its marketing objectives, utilizing software such as PowerPoint.
Build proposals by working with various team members to collect all necessary components, including but not limited to custom images/mock-ups, creative messaging, and proposed activation components; work with the in-house design team to create visually impactful PowerPoint decks for each proposal.
Conduct campaign analysis through industry reporting tools such as comScore to pull necessary demographic and psychographic information to incorporate into proposals.
Develop timelines and set deadlines among the team to produce a high volume of proposals with strategic, original campaign ideas, and then to execute won business.
Manage reporting for live content campaigns and work with the Account Management team to deliver results to clients.
Research industry statistics and metrics that can be used to support sales pitches; stay on top of industry and competitive trends and report back to the management and sales teams accordingly.
The successful candidate will be an inspiring and confident leader with at least:
2-3 years’ experience with sales planning or media planning
Proven ability to build creative, compelling, and informative sales presentations
Strong visual aesthetic
Experience with project management
Exceptional writing and proofing skills
Understanding of and interest in native advertising
Strong Microsoft Office skills
