Facebook Post About Homeless Man in Minneapolis Cafe Goes Viral

A Facebook post about a heartwarming moment in a Minneapolis coffee shop is going viral.

Cesia Abigail, owner of Abi’s Cafe, explained in a Friday Facebook post that a homeless man came into the store to asking for change, according to NBC affiliate WCMH. She wrote that she responded: “Why don’t you have a job, you know nothing is given to me for free right?”

She wrote that he explained that he has felonies and has been unable to find work because of them. Abigail said she was short staffed, so she took a chance on him. She offered him a job.

“His eyes opened wide and his smile made my day!” Abigail wrote. “He said I’ll do anything for some food.”

The photo shows the man washing dishes, which he’s been doing along with other tasks for almost two weeks at the café, according to the post, which has been shared over 42,000 times.

Abigail wrote that the first thing he did with his money was buy food from the restaurant, which he bought at a discount.

Abigail ended the post asking people to “do something nice for someone today and don’t judge them just because they out there asking for money.”

“God gave me this blessing so why can’t I bless others?” Abigail wrote.
